John Kerry has his own ideas about the budget deficit, which he explained in a television interview. Although his ideas were within the mainstream, he slipped in assumptions about the opposition that were simply bizarre. According to Kerry, opponents of raising the nation’s debt ceiling were “holding America hostage”. Last time I checked, the opponents of raising the debt ceiling were representing their constituencies, flagging legislation that they believed to be of dubious value. That is how the legislative process is supposed to work.
What was most outrageous about Kerry’s interview was his assertion that the media should not give equal time to the Tea Party movement. Since, in Kerry’s infallible opinion, the Tea Party’s ideas are simply false, the ideas of the Tea Party movement should be expunged from public discourse.
We are so fortunate to have a public leader who will tel us who is more deserving of free speech, and to whom the media should listen. The condescension of our elected leaders is mind boggling. John Kerry will tell the news media who should be taken seriously. How thoughtful of him.

Kerry does not want Fairness, he just wants to silence dissenting opinions.
Here is the hypocrisy check.
